I Tried The Purest Co Collagen Glow Berries Zero For 30 Days—Here’s My Honest Review

Tried and tested: My 30-day review of the new, SUGAR-FREE version of Collagen Glow Berries. See my real results from a month of testing, and if it’s worth the hype.

OK fellow skincare truth seekers, it’s time to talk collagen again.

Till date, one of the most popular posts on my blog is one where I talk about collagen supplements, and my personal experience trying one for 30 days. I was a little surprised by how much interest there is in this topic (although I probably shouldn’t have been, given we’re all in search of that elusive fountain of youth). Nevertheless, it was clear I had to keep my collagen investigation going—all in the name of science, of course.

Enter: The Purest Co Collagen Glow Berries, a supplement that’s been everywhere on my feed for what feels like forever. It comes in two versions—regular and zero sugar—so naturally, I tried both. Are they worth the hype? Did my skin transform into a plump, bouncy dream? Let’s get into it.

Full Disclosure: The lovely folks at The Purest Co. sent me these products to try out, but this is NOT a sponsored review. The thoughts below are all my own, and reflect my actual experience with this product.

But First, A Quick Refresher on Collagen Supplements

My original post dives into the details of why collagen is important, but here’s the TL;DR version: Collagen is the structural protein that keeps our skin firm, plump, and wrinkle-free. As we age, collagen production slows down—cue the fine lines, sagging, and crepey skin.

Now, can ingesting collagen actually help replenish those levels? The answer is a big, fat... maybe. Some studies suggest that collagen supplements may improve skin elasticity and hydration. But here’s the catch: Many of these studies used collagen products formulated with additional ingredients like vitamins, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants. So, it’s hard to tell if collagen was the hero—or just part of the supporting cast.

In short: the science isn’t conclusive, but it’s promising enough to justify a 30-day experiment (or two).

Why The Purest Co Collagen Glow Berries Stands Out

What caught my attention about this product was its unique mix of collagen and skin-brightening ingredients. My two biggest skincare concerns? Aging and hyperpigmentation. So this supplement felt like it was speaking directly to me. Here’s what’s inside:

  • Marine collagen, which is considered more bioavailable than bovine collagen, and is also richer in skin-enriching type I collagen.

  • AND it’s in hydrolyzed collagen peptides form. Hydrolyzation breaks down the collagen into smaller peptides, making it easier for the body to absorb.

  • A powerful antioxidant trio: Vitamin C, bilberry extract, and glutathione—all linked to improved skin tone and collagen synthesis.

  • There’s a zero sugar variant! While the original Collagen Glow Berries formula doesn’t contain a ton of sugar, anything that cuts it down to zero is a winner in my book, especially since there’s an increasing amount of evidence to show that sugar consumption can cause our bodies to age more rapidly.

My Honest (Non-Sponsored) Review of The Purest Co Collagen Glow Berries Zero

First things first, the active ingredients in both, the Collagen Glow Berries and Collagen Glow Berries Zero, are exactly the same. While I have now tried both variants, I decided to try the zero sugar version for the first 30 days, and the results below are from that first 30 day trial.

First Impressions

I’m a big fan of supplements that come packaged in individual sachets for daily consumption. The Collagen Glow Berries offer just that—sleekly packed with a month’s supply in a box of 30. This may seem like a big commitment to start with, but in my opinion, it’s a necessary one. Collagen supplements like these aren’t going to make miracles happen overnight. They will take at least a month to see any results from, so you should try and commit to at least a pack of 30 to give these a real shot.

The sachets are extremely portable and easy to use—just tear one a day and slurp up the delicious, berry-flavoured juice. And before you ask, no, there’s no weird, fishy collagen taste to either of these.

What actually surprised me about the taste was that the zero sugar variant tasted pretty similar to the original. It was slightly less sweet, but that was absolutely fine for me. In a blind taste test, I’m not sure I’d even be able to tell the difference. So both flavour and packaging pass with flying colours in my book.

My Results After 30 days

Now, let’s get down to what actually matters—the results. I wanted to test both, the anti-aging and hyperpigmentation benefits that the Glow Berries were touting. In order to do that, I took before and after pictures of my 2 most problematic areas:

  • My under eyes, where fine lines are most visible

  • Around my mouth, where I notice the most amount of hyperpigmentation.

Was there any difference between day 1 and day 30? You can be the judge from the images below.

Under Eyes: Day 1 vs Day 30

Mouth Area: Day 1 vs Day 30

Let’s be clear, there was never going to be a drastic difference in 30 days, but looking at these before and after pictures now, there are a few things that caught my attention.

The difference in fine lines around my eyes is not dramatic by any means, but it is visible. The lines are slightly less deep, and the hollow under my eyes looks a little bit softer, and less pronounced compared to the day 1 photo.

What’s much more impressive, in my opinion, is the reduction of hyperpigmentation around my lips. In the 30 days since I started this product, I have not added any other any products in my routine to target hyperpigmentation, and yet, that’s where I see the biggest difference. Both my lips and the skin around them look brighter, and more even-toned. I was honestly surprised to see the difference in the images, as I’ve struggled to find any product that reduced the coloring around my mouth. So, for that alone, I’d call this experiment a success.

Final Verdict: Is It Worth Buying?

Much like my first experience with collagen supplements, the results here too aren’t dramatic, but they’re definitely encouraging. Especially when it comes to brightening.

If you’re hoping for a miracle wrinkle-eraser, collagen supplements might disappoint—at least in the short term. But if you’re in it for the long haul, and especially if you’re struggling with dullness or uneven skin tone, The Purest Co Collagen Glow Berries is definitely worth a try.

✅ It tastes great, even the sugar-free version (no fishy aftertaste)
✅ Packed with antioxidants for brightening
✅ Comes in a month-long supply
❌ Don’t expect overnight miracles
❌ Effects on fine lines and wrinkles aren’t dramatic

I’ll be continuing my collagen journey and monitoring results over the coming months. Who knows—this might just be the glow-up I've been looking for. If you’ve been curious about collagen supplements and want to start with something tasty, easy, and backed by promising ingredients, The Purest Co might be a solid place to begin.
